I have never posted a review before but truly felt this company and the employees deserved to be recognized and rated.We needed a split air conditioner/heater in the loft above our garage at our cottage when we had the heat wave that lasted way too long!! Our son & his young family stay up there and it was up to 89 degrees! I made several calls to different companies and it was SMHC to be the first to arrive, give us a very reasonable quote and had our unit installed before I heard back from others. Fast, very professional and friendly and I would recommend them in a heart beat. What impressed me most was that Dan was always available and emailed me over the weekend to make arrangements for installation. From the first phone call to the last hand shake as their team left, I was comforted by their honest, professional attitude.
We had the unfortunate pleasure of having our furnace die on the evening before New Years Eve, in -24 temperature. Thankfully we called the right people for the job. They arrived the same night, and while it couldn’t be fixed (cracked heat exchanger) they made it safe so we wouldn’t worry about carbon monoxide poisoning. The arrived promptly to remove the old furnace and brought us space heaters to keep warm in the frigid temperatures. Everyone was friendly, courteous and professional. The new furnace looks and works great. They came when they said they would and called back promptly. The pricing was very fair and I would recommend them highly. We so appreciate having heat in our home again. Thank you so much!!
I am a Senior in Barrie, Ontario. Had some trouble with my air conditioning unit. I was hesitant to call the local company I have used for years, here in Barrie. Just coming to the house seems the call has become so expensive. Dan and Simcoe home comfort was recommended to us. Not just for a fair price for the work but work well done and with effort to keep the cost reasonable. So out he came from Orillia actually. Nice neat truck Dan himself, a young fellow and personable and smiley. Got me right away. Found the problem quickly and in short time was on his way. Knew exactly what was the problem and I was pleased with the bill. For sure I will have him return for servicing the equipment and would not, do not hesitate to refer him to friends and neighbors. We have been dealing with a boiler issue since August 2018. We had various other companies come and assess the situation and all said we needed a new boiler. We were in an extreme situation as the winter month began and the cold was coming in. I simply googled Emergency Boiler Service and found Simcoe Muskoka Home Comfort. Dan immediately booked an appointment with his colleague and came to our site. They saved us thousands of dollars by going above and beyond by ordering a part to fix it. We had to wait for some time but it was worth it. We are a non-profit and we hoped to get it resolved at least for this winter. We appreciate all the time, effort, research, follow ups etc. for this job and we would definitely keep this business in mind if anything comes up. Thank you so much to everyone at SMHC.
